81 Sally White at Coughton Court

Artform: Ceramics, Sculpture
I have been making pottery for over 30 years. I can make anything you have always wanted, and now you will be able to watch it being thrown on the wheel, finished and decorated whilst having a cup of tea at my new studio in the Stable Yard at Coughton Court.
I am very experienced in all kinds of pottery, from Raku firing, to working on the wheel. In 1976 I attended Bournville School of Arts and Crafts, originally hoping to progress to Vittoria Street in Birmingham to study jewellery making. However, I took a turn and found a great interest in ceramics which led to me taking a degree course in 3D Industrial Design at Leicester Polytechnic. Following this Alcester Pottery was born, this continued for several years before I married and had a daughter. In 2007 I rediscovered my artistic flame and opened a studio with three other artists at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre. In 2026 we are moving to new premises at the Stable Yard at Coughton Court so do come and see us and say hi!
