Hayley is an Artist Printmaker with a BA in Fine Art from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. Her practice explores the value of traditional printmaking in a digital age. Blending the modern techniques of silkscreen and Mokulito (Japanese wood lithography) with drypoint and woodcut to create small, varied editions and unique mono-prints, emphasising individuality of line, tone, and texture.
Environmentally conscious, Hayley works exclusively with non-toxic processes, reusing and recycling plate materials like reclaimed wood where possible. Her prints carry autobiographical influences, weaving emotion, memory, and familiar sayings into imagery that resonates.
She will be bringing with her a selection of printmaking tools, plates and inks to work at Coughton and demonstrate various techniques.
