The freedom to paint whatever his imagination inspires has enabled David to begin exhibiting his work in his seventh decade. After completing a foundation course in art and an HND in Illustration at Harrow College, followed by a period as a studio illustrator, his strong design skills led him into a thirty career in the Signage and Exhibition Industry. While rewarding, it was only in retirement that his deep love of painting and creating has been fully realised.
Inspired by the Warwickshire countryside, which remains one of his greatest passions, David hopes to share this joy he finds in the landscape through his work. He works primarily in oil and acrylic, producing landscapes influenced by the Impressionists, alongside more detailed and imaginative pieces informed by his background in illustration.
Positive feedback from three previous local exhibitions has encouraged David to take part in Warwickshire Open Studios this year, and he looks welcoming visitors and sharing his work.
