PLEIN AIR EVENT 14 SEPTEMBER 2025 – COMPTON VERNEY
We had a fantastic day at our fifth Plein Air event, in the glorious grounds of Compton Verney . Over 70 artists braved the weather and produced a collection of wonderful artworks with. Pieces included paintings, drawings, prints, textiles
Whereas most Plein Air events tend to be restricted to paintings or drawings, we encourage artists to engage in their surroundings and produce a creative piece in response in any 2D or 3D art form. This year it included paints, pastels, pencil, felt, print, photography, textiles, glass and mixed media. Visitors to Compton Verney wandered around and discovered how the art comes to life. At the end of the day the artwork was displayed in a pop-up exhibition and the judges selected their favourites.

Summer Art Weeks 2025
– Meet Our Artists –
As a true celebration of the variety and quality of visual art available locally, Summer Art Weeks is open to all – from passionate amateurs to professional artists, across all mediums.
For 2025, we had over 350 artists and makers taking part at 115 venues across Warwickshire and Coventry. From bars to barns, cafes to churches, galleries to gazebos, halls to hallways, you could find amazing original art presented by the talented creators.

SUMMER SHOW 2025
– LSA ART ROOM –
WOS took over the LSA Art Room from 27 May to 14 June for its Summer Show. This exhibition was a fantastic showcase of work from our 2025 artists and provided a flavour of what you could see across all the venues taking part in Summer Art Weeks.
Do you want to get creative? Many of our artists run workshops that you can take part in to learn a new skill or improve your own creative practice. They might take place in their own studios or in a shared space, but there are lots to choose from across all different mediums.
Many of our artists also take part in their own pop-up events throughout the year, which are not organised by Warwickshire Open Studios. Find out more about where you can see their work, all year round.
