I'm a fine art photographer based in Warwick. My work is inspired by nature and the land and seascapes of the United Kingdom, but I'm not a traditional landscape photographer. Instead, I prefer to pick out one particular element of the scene and digitally manipulate the image to emphasise the shapes and colours that first caught my eye. My finished images typically have a restricted palette and a dreamlike quality.
Born in Leamington Spa, I've been taking photographs for over 30 years. I was initially attracted to photography at primary school when I saw the magical process of images appearing on paper in the darkroom. I got my first digital camera in 2000 and I've been working exclusively in digital format since 2005. I love the way digital photography has given me the opportunity to explore my creativity in ways that were impossible with film.
I got my licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2007, and ran my own photography business for 10 years. I now concentrate on fine art photography.
You can find more of my work on my website, https://www.lindascannell.com
I sell my images in various sizes as limited edition giclee prints on fine art photography paper. Prints are signed and unframed and I supply them with a certificate of authenticity.
