I will be exhibiting in my garden studio during Warwickshire Open Studios, alongside offering a 'Bee-Friendly Warwick' stall selling plants and other goods to help them raise money. https://sites.google.com/view/beefriendlywarwick/
I am located next door to Myton School, and have space for parking in my drive, or you can use the school 6th form parking if open. Please head round the right hand side gate and into the garden, and you will see our garden room ahead.
I will be open on Sat 22, Sun 23, Fri 28, Sat 29, Sun 30 June and Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July - 11am - 4pm each day.
I am just starting my journey as an amateur artist but have always been inspired by the wonders of the natural world and travel. I am drawn to oceans and coastlines, alongside enjoying the natural forms of trees, flowers and wildlife. Over recent years I have discovered the ‘Isles of Scilly’ and fallen in love with its scenery and solitude. During my last visit I took my sketchbook and enjoyed trying to capture some of its beauty en plein air.
I enjoy working in watercolours due to the experimental nature of water paints, enjoying playing around with different techniques and colours never quite knowing what the end result will be. Acrylic paint also interests me, and I love creating dramatic skies as part of any natural landscapes and building up colours in layers to give depth and cohesiveness to any piece.
A share of sales I make from Warwickshire Open Studies will go to ‘Bee Friendly Warwick’ a small local community group.
