Art at Alscot Summer 24
Verity Clark is an emerging self-taught artist from Warwickshire, UK, whose works span a variety of artistic styles and creative techniques including abstract and realism.
She lives on a farm with her husband, three children and a menagerie of animals. Her father, a graduate from the Royal College of Art, has always actively encouraged her artmaking. From an early age she was fascinated by the Pre-Raphaelite movement and their dedication to detail and realism, combined with their passion for storytelling, has deeply influenced her artistic vision. She is often commissioned to draw portraits of loved ones and animals, but her real love lies in the freedom of creating paintings that transport the viewer to another place and time, evoking a sense of wonder and curiosity. She uses pastels, colouring pencils, oil and watercolour paints depending on the works.
