It’s all in the detail really. I am passionate about detail – really tiny detail and often include much within my drawings which I know many people will miss, but the fun part is knowing I have hidden something within the artwork and anticipating its eventual discovery by someone.

My work has increasingly become highly detailed on a much greater scale and this is just normal development, I think, as it progresses and I explore different ideas and topics and try to implement them onto paper. Art is all about exploring ideas I feel and seeing where they lead – leading to new techniques in my own experience.

What you’ll see is an expression of a fertile imagination which is endlessly creating new “stuff” and I just get it onto paper then move on to the next idea. The creating process is often long, sometimes taking up to 4 months to finish larger works, but it’s a continual developing road which leads to goodness knows where – that much is only apparent at the final stroke.
