San Stae interior design and art studio is delighted to present works by British-Filipina ceramicist Gaea Nayo for our June ‘Artist Spotlight’.
The exhibition features a curated selection of new works, including sculptural vessels alongside smaller functional pieces. Midlands-based, and working primarily with heavily grogged stoneware clay, Gaea’s practice is inspired by natural forms – particularly stones shaped by elemental forces, and the legacy of modernist sculpture. Her vessels balance weight, softness, and quiet monumentality at the intersection of sculpture and function.
San Stae provides full interior design services from renovation through to furnishing, consultancy & art sourcing, with a focus on integrating bespoke and meaningful works by artists & craftspeople.
Join us from Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 June to view this beautiful micro exhibition in situ. A Kurinoki Ceramic Tea Bowl making workshop will be led by the artist on Sunday 21 June when the exhibition concludes.
