Painting for Pleasure is a welcoming and inclusive community art group charity based in Leamington Spa, providing a supportive space for people to explore painting and drawing in any medium. The group particularly supports people living with physical or mild learning disabilities, health challenges or illness, as well as carers and those at risk of isolation.
For Warwickshire Open Studios, the group is exhibiting at The Gallery Dental Practice, showcasing work created with support from a Coventry Building Society Small Fund grant. Artists have been exploring a spring floral theme through drawing, painting, and cyanotype printmaking, responding to flowers and wildflowers as they bloom.
The exhibition celebrates creativity, confidence, and connection, highlighting the individuality and expressive freedom of each artist. Visitors can expect joyful, thoughtful, and beautiful work, reflecting the positive impact of art-making on wellbeing, social connection, and quality of life.
