Malgosia Stepnik emigrated from Poland in 1999 and settled in London where she completed her education, obtaining a Diploma from Christies Education in Contemporary Art Studies and the Chelsea College of Art and Design and completing her First Class Honours Degree in Fine Arts Painting from City and Guilds, London College of Art in 2008. Her work has been exhibited widely, from London to Istanbul and with collectors coming from all over the world from UK, US, Germany, Australia and elsewhere. The artist has been featured in many publications, including Elle Magazine, Harper's Bazaar and the Financial Times. In 2017 and 2018, Malgosia was commissioned to create an artwork for the Migration Museum in London. In January 2020 she launched Stepnik Home and Space – a collection of fabric and wallpapers inspired by her paintings.
