I am presenting 12 collage images which show the changing seasons. My inspiration is the Greenway near where I live. I walk there frequently. It offers freedom and space.
As the days go by I watch the never-failing rhythm as the seasons slowly change. During the Winter there is an energy under the earth, which lies dormant. Frost and snow cramp growth and leaves are absorbed into wet piles. After what seems to be many weeks of damp and mud there is at last an almost imperceptible stirring, all that energy, is indeed still there, working away under the earth.
Signs of life begin to reappear. The speed of transformation accelerates, leaves unfold, petals break out of their enclosing buds, birds sing. By late Spring there is an explosion of energy. Summer brings rapid growth and abundance beyond measure. Finally Autumn brings relaxing stillness giving time for pause before Winter chill once more limits energy to an infinite silence.
