Hannah Pugh is a Birmingham‑based contemporary artist whose atmospheric ink, bleach, acrylic, & watercolour paintings explore the shifting spaces between memory, imagination, & landscape. Working from her studio just outside the city, she creates otherworldly compositions that drift between daydream & quiet unease, blending romantic horizons with darker, speculative undertones.
In this thoughtfully curated group exhibition of local professional artists, she will be demonstrating her unusual techniques on selected dates (TBC) & is looking forward to talking through her work personally with you.
Her process is instinctive & experimental, drawing, scraping, dripping, gilding across paper, panel, & assemblage. Each piece grows organically as she watches the materials move & react, weaving in fragments of lived experience & recollected places. Hannah’s work hints at skies, oceans, & imagined terrains without ever settling into traditional landscape painting.
