Jessica’s work is in private collections across the UK and she was recently selected for the Saatchi Other Art Fair. Her paintings are currently being shown at the Kunsthuis Gallery, Yorkshire.
Jessica Brown is an abstract artist living and working in Warwickshire. She creates contemporary abstract paintings, inspired by light and shadows, patterns, shapes and the connections she sees between things. Jessica has loved art and painting from a young age, however, after a detour which involved obtaining a BA Hons degree in German from Manchester University, much travel, and a variety of office jobs, Jessica returned to her true passion of painting, when she enrolled as a mature student of Fine Art at Birmingham City University.
After leaving art college, Jessica enjoyed nearly a decade of success, selling her work through galleries in the West Midlands, Yorkshire and elsewhere, taking part in numerous solo and joint exhibitions. During this period, Jessica sold more than 100 paintings through the galleries that represented her. Subsequently, Jessica’s path took another detour, back into the office environment, when she worked for several years in Communications at the Civil Service handling the media for VIP visits, including the Royal Family, and Government Ministers. Then just a few years ago, Jessica was once again in a position to fully focus on her painting.
