Art at Bredon House
Region: Kenilworth
Artform: Glass
Inspired by Art Deco and the natural world, I create beautiful and unique pieces of art by fusing and bending glass. I love to experiment with ways of using the kiln to create sculptural objects which showcase the beauty of glass.
Different glass reacts differently in the kiln, so each piece of work is unique. It is exciting to open the kiln to see the final result, and this adds to the motivation to experiment with colour and texture to create something beautiful and new.
My work has always had a sculptural element, and I continue to experiment with ways of using the kiln to bend glass and recently to cast glass.
Exhibiting alongside me are Jacqui Smithson: Textiles and Mixed Media, Anna Clarke: Mixed Media, and Paula Perry: Painter.
Join us and enjoy our artfully curated display, a warm welcome, and refreshments and homemade cake in Jacqui’s tranquil garden studio. There will be demonstrations by each of our artists – please look out for timings for these on our socials.
