Come and see Jane’s new work on display for 2025, including abstract watercolour sea and landscapes paintings, and a range of thrown and hand build ceramics that express appreciation for the natural environment. All in the beautiful glasshouse in Jephson Gardens.

Jane paints the ever changing Jurassic Coast of West Dorset. Her abstract watercolour sea and landscapes are motivated by dynamic coastal erosion, landslip, and land contours. Jane is curious about the natural landforms created by evolution and weather and how our climate crisis accelerates even greater coastal erosion. Painted in a palette of simple muted earth colours with warm colour values, Jane paints with an easy, loose and relaxed aesthetic, achieved by minimal planning and by taking a light, unrestricted approach to the creative process. Jane’s ceramic work is an adventure with clay and her imagination, following the path of free flowing slow creativity that expresses an appreciation for our natural environment.
