Shaped by a desire to live lightly on the land, Clare is passionate about harnessing the potential of her home-grown, colourful willows. She creates traditional & contemporary baskets, sculptures & homeware – sustainable, beautifully crafted, timeless woven pieces.
Having gained the highest-level City & Guilds qualifications in Basketry, learning from some of the UK’s best basketmakers, Clare now combines her own making skills with her background in teaching. She is committed to keeping heritage craft skills alive and to share her knowledge. She is keen to spread some willowy love, hoping to inspire others to take up basketry by running taster sessions and skills development workshops.
