Visit my secluded garden sanctuary and studio in the centre of Stratford which provides a stage to display my recent work, a selection of porcelain Jewellery, sculptures and collages inspired by some of the wildest corners of our British landscape.
This year I have been unable to travel much so I have delved into my portfolio of photographs and memories from past years, reflecting on the amazing landscape of the Outer Hebrides, Orkney Yorkshire, Cornwall and Devon. These very varied landscapes have inspired a range of unique sculptures and collages.
I have been exploring the possibilities of combining textiles, threads and ceramics for a few years and find they offer new ways to express the wonder of our amazing and ancient landscapes.
I use porcelain and stoneware clays to create sculptural features for the garden and decorative, semi functional vessels and collages for the home. I use a pallet of underglaze colours, sometimes combining clay and cloth to enhance the range of hues.
