30 Helen Dugdale at Art @ St Nicholas House

Helen is a new member of Warwickshire Open Studios and is delighted to be exhibiting both her Jewellery and Larger Metalwork alongside a highly skilled and talented group of fellow artists working in a number of different artforms. This promises to be an exciting and varied exhibition which will be taking place at St Nicholas House in Leamington, a beautiful Georgian venue and an ideal backdrop to showcase these works.
With her workshop located near Rugby, Helen creates a variety of mixed metal Jewellery and enjoys exploring the different ways Silver and Brass/Gold can be interlocked. Inspired visually by the multi-wrapped layers of linen bindings used in Ancient Egyptian Mummification, Helen also creates larger scale conceptual Hollow Forms and mixed metal Bowls which are representative, on a metaphorical level, of the invisible bindings that we have within us to protect ourselves but which can also restrict and hold us back.
