Exhibition and News

Helen has recently completed the “Getting Started Spotlighting” initiative at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London and is currently exhibiting alongside 14 selected emerging jewellers and metalsmiths.

Biography

Helen is a Designer/Maker of Contemporary Jewellery and Metalwork with a workshop located near Rugby.  After studying a BA, she went on to complete an MA in Jewellery, Silversmithing & Related Products at Birmingham City University in 2001.
While on an 18 month Design Enterprise Fellowship Scheme, Helen remained in Birminghams’ Jewellery Quarter in a shared workshop for a number of years, later returning to the local area and running regular Silver Jewellery making workshops and Beading & Wirework classes. Helen is now, once again, focusing on designing and making her own range of Jewellery, Metal Bowls and Hollow Forms.  Skilfully interlocking metals in a variety of ways … these are visually inspired by the linen wrappings used in the Ancient Egyptian process of Mummification.
