My work reflects what I see around me in the Cotswold countryside and I’m also profoundly influenced by the vibrant colours and textures of the far North West, particularly the Outer Hebrides. It is not a realistic style, as I tend see things in shapes, shadows and patterns. I then simplify these shapes and patterns so that the final composition can speak for itself, leaving the rest to the viewer’s imagination, be it a Landscape or Abstract.
