I am looking forward to taking part in my second Summer Open Studios this year!
My work can also be seen in Badgers Tearoom at Brandon Marsh - the main site of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust - and my digital prints of drawings and greetings cards can be found there too.
Nature and wildlife around me, especially feathered friends, inspire me to create Linocuts and drawings. I enjoy creating both monoprints and reduction Linocuts (multi layered and multi coloured prints also known as a 'suicide print' as there is no going back once you have started the next layer!). My print studio is either my kitchen or back room, hand printing with my trusty metal spoon! Many of my linocuts are available only as limited edition print runs. I enjoy blogging the process behind making my linocut prints and drawings, and these can be found on my website - link is in contact details below.
My drawings are mainly created using a variety of pencil crayon and pen. You can see further images of my work, and of the commissions I have undertaken on my website.
I have been linocut printing since attending a course at Birmingham Printmakers. I have also exhibited my work at The Slate Gallery in Leamington Spa as part of 'The Art of Design' exhibition.
