Katie enjoys painting places and moments that catch her eye: quirky buildings and small hidden spots that have a story. Her favourite medium is watercolour and ink because of its freedom and experimental quality. To Katie, drawing is a mindful practice. It’s about capturing the experience of a place or moment in all of it’s detail. By looking closely at buildings and nature, by exploring every part of a moment, Katie feels a connection to it and captures her experience in a handmade piece of artwork. Every painting, drawing and sketch captures a meaningful experience from her life. Katie also enjoys working on commissions to capture moments for others to share and keep in their homes forever.
