Project 64 at the Pottery comprises a daily selection from a 64 piece retrospective portfolio, with new works, and works in different stages of development.
The works are emotionally vibrant and broadly fit into three categories
1. Classic style works: a shared foundation of traditional techniques. Nude studies, Dutch-influenced still life compositions like “Pear Trio,” and careful observational work such as “Reed Study” derive from recognisable technical disciplines.
2. Contemporary: works like “Turbulent Systems,” “Energetic Matrix,” and “Contained Chaos” explore the experiences of complexity: multiple perspective, omnishambles, clusters and hidden agendas.
3. Challenger: Embracing modernism and post-modernism, digital AI and complex processes and systems. A series that embraces new tech and pushes towards the experimental edge. Digital manipulations like “Turner Reimagined” and “Digital Self-Portrait” interrogate technological mediation truth and transformation.
