I am inspired by nature and the incredible variety of natural forms waiting to be discovered in my garden and wider countryside.
I work with willow and many other natural materials, often foraged, gathered, or found. My collections are of sticks, stones, bark, bones, and all manner of inspirational things that may end up in a piece of work.
Working methods include traditional and contemporary basketry techniques, wrapping, binding, knotting, and sometimes just making it up… I’m creating work that seeks to celebrate nature.
My work is sculptural, decorative, sometimes functional, and may be for inside or out.

Member of the Basketmakers’ Association.

We will be working during our opening hours, so informal demonstrations will be varied and ongoing in Jane’s truly gorgeous garden!
