I started painting in 2001 to help with my anxiety and depression and found that it really helped. I managed to join a few local societies and art groups, met some wonderful people who encouraged me to exhibit my paintings. On reaching retirement age I have now built my own gallery and studio in the village where I live. The gallery will be open throughout the art weeks. On display I will have landscapes and seascapes in oils, watercolour and mixed media, which I tried recently and enjoyed. During the open weeks you will find me painting in my studio.
