Sue is a contemporary artist and printmaker, who makes art that she would love to have in her own home. Her bold, vibrant paintings explore the domestic, with a focus on still life. Her wish is to make the viewer smile and to bring some cheer to darker corners of peoples homes.
Printmaking offers a chance for a focus on pattern, and often a more monochromatic interpretation of the world. Sue enjoys the slow processes involved in making a collagraph plate and the inky fingers in bringing it to life. She also uses her prints to make jewellery, which will be on display.
Her garden studio is warm and welcoming, and sits in the middle of a hidden oasis which feels a world away from the street outside. Come and rest a while and enjoy the views of the garden and the artwork!
