My work is rooted in a lifelong connection to the natural landscapes of the UK, particularly the Isle of Skye, and southwest England. These places shaped by weather, time, and wildlife, are where I feel the power and spirit of the land most strongly. Dolphins and seals along the coast, golden eagles and sea eagles on Skye and the intricate ecosystems of ancient forests inspire both awe and reflection. Alongside their beauty, I am deeply aware of the fragility of these environments. As development encroaches and habitats disappear, I fear a future where my grandchildren may know our wildlife only through memory. Through watercolour and graphite I seek to slow the viewers gaze and invite a closer more intimate connection with nature. My work is both a celebration of the natural world and quiet call to protect what remains.
