Biography

Annie is a contemporary oil painter, whose work ranges from observed ‘still life’ to landscapes, normally started ‘en plein air’ and finished in her studio.  The exhibition theme will be ‘light and shadow’ and will feature local rivers and woodlands, and is using light in her still life set ups to create shadows and depth.  She is inspired by everyday objects for her still life painting and her landscapes are based on photos taken whilst walking or travelling.   She has been painting for about 30 years and  she now has time to dedicate to her art.  She is working weekly with an oil painting mentor to develop her skills, and also attends art courses regularly. Annie is an active member of several local art societies, she regularly exhibits with LSA Art Room and is involved with the Broadway Arts Festival annual exhibition.
