WOS is funding up to four bursaries of £250 each that will enable new talent in the early stages of their creative journey to get involved with Summer Art Weeks 2026 and assist in the transition to becoming an artist.
What we support
In addition to the bursaries, we are also improving the way in which we support all the artists new to Summer Art Weeks or those who have perhaps only been involved a couple of times before. This support includes:
- Help in finding a venue – check out the CONNECT section of the website
- Marketing / Get Involved Workshop in Spring 2026
- Closer links to the network of area reps, who will act as a mentor / buddy
- Help & Resources in a dedicated registered artists’ area to include information on video production, photography, social media etc
We will regularly communicate with you by email, but if you have any specific support queries then please email emerge@warwickshireopenstudios.org

We are thrilled to see the progress of some of our previous Emerge Bursary winners who have now become established artists, regularly showing their work and growing their reputations. In 2026, we are delighted to be supporting two young emerging artists with our Emerge Bursary Scheme.

- Imogen Moore (Venue 86) – painter
Imogen is a young oil painter with a real passion for finding beauty in everyday landscapes. Using a palette knife and a limited colour palette, she captures natural scenes inspired in particular by her local surroundings and parkland – proof that you don’t need a grand vista to find something worth painting! Her local woodland is a favourite subject and a place close to her heart. A recent graduate in Animation Production, she’s now back home and building her dream of a sustainable career in landscape painting! - Molly Acacia Hughes (Venue 77) – mixed media
After graduating with a First in Printed Textile Design in 2023, Molly has spent the last few years getting stuck into the world of screen printing – from hand-printing wallpapers and fabrics to specialist stencil-making. She’s now set up Studio MEAD at Brook Arts Hub in Stratford-upon-Avon, where she’s launching workshops in screen printing, etching, and lino printing. On top of all that, she creates beautifully detailed watercolour illustrations and handmade hair accessories from vintage fabrics!
