Biography
Jaimie is a Birmingham based abstract artist with a studio in The Stoneleigh Arms in Leamington Spa. She is known for her atmospheric oil paintings rich in movement and energy. Working primarily with oils, she creates expressive abstract paintings that balance soft, fluid blends with textured focal areas, drawing the viewer in and encouraging time to pause and reflection.
A signature feature of Jaimie’s practice is her use of the palette knife, which she employs to build depth, texture, and intricate mark making. Each painting begins with a clear intention for colour and composition, yet evolves organically as she becomes immersed in the process. Her work is inspired by colours found in nature, emotions evoked by music, and the spontaneous movement of paint across the canvas, resulting in emotive compositions that resonate with collectors and art enthusiasts alike. Jaimie often works at a large scale, allowing energy and movement to build naturally within each piece.
Jaimie’s artistic journey began following a transformative decision to leave her corporate career. While seeking artwork to bring energy and personality into her home, she discovered a local art class that ignited a deep passion for painting and has since developed into a thriving artistic practice.
She creates cohesive collections of paintings that explore colour, texture and emotion, alongside bespoke commissions for private collectors and corporate clients. Jaimie is currently represented by The Courtyard Fine Art Gallery, The Acorn Gallery and online gallery Artfinder.
