Biography

Designed and created in Stratford upon Avon

Our journey began as two friends around an old oak kitchen table in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Having always lived in Shakespeare’s Warwickshire we wanted to create products which told a story, weaving together the beauty of Shakespeare’s language and the richness of the nature that surrounds us.

We celebrate the traditional crafts of natural dyeing with plants and working with local wood by hand, and our Tudor-inspired flower designs are ink-stamped with wooden blocks; as such there is a character and honesty in our items that can only come from working by hand with raw materials. More than merely decorative or useful, our sustainable items are a perfect blend of the past and present.

Shakespeare is at the beating heart of all we do and we like to think that the plants and trees that we work with are a living link to the man himself and the townspeople from centuries past.
