Exhibition and News
Last year I had my hand raised sterling silver bowl accepted for the Coventry Open 2025 exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery which ran from 28th March until 8th June 2025. The entrants were from all over the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire including Wolverhampton so I felt really privileged to have been selected for the exhibition.
I will be attending the Art in the Cotswolds Christmas Fair in Shipston on Stour from Friday 4th December until Sunday 6th December 2026. Look out for further details including opening times nearer the date on my Instagram page. I hope that you’ll be able to make this excellent event with some great artists attending.
Biography
My career as a silversmith started later on in life due a major change in my circumstances concerning my health.
I originally went to college to make silver jewellery with a friend as therapy when recovering from my brain tumour. I was unable to return to my original career as an education advisor and have always been involved in crafts. I then decided to train as a silversmith at college and now enjoy designing and creating one off unique pieces of jewellery and other items eg silver bowls, boxes and other items mainly in silver along with some in gold. My jewellery is handcrafted using a range of skilled techniques to create striking and contemporary pieces. Some pieces are adorned with precious gems, cultured pearls, Swarovski Crystal and Murano Glass.
In recent years I have mastered the art of Keum Boo which is an ancient Korean art where I fuse 24k gold foil onto fine silver. The effect is lovely and with high price of precious metals it is proving very popular amongst my clients. I really enjoy making and creating one off and unique pieces using this ancient art.
I have my own studio/workshop at home where I design and make individual pieces of jewellery. I spend many hours at my bench using a range of tools to create my finished pieces. All my jewellery and other items are unique one off pieces which are hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office with my own mark.
I welcome commissions and enjoy working on these special pieces. Feel free to contact me regarding a commission or to purchase a piece of jewellery which always includes a gift box.
