Biography

For almost 25 years Lynsey has worked as both a mural artist and commission based artist and more recently a scenic artist for the theatre, television and events industry.  She studied Fine Art and the History of Art consecutively, at Coventry University and the University of Warwick in the late 1990’s. After a brief spell teaching the History of Art and Architecture at Stratford College she pursued a career as a freelance artist and muralist.  Many of the projects she has undertaken over the years have been commissioned by private clients although she has also completed many projects for schools, charities, councils, museums and other creative bodies.  More recently she has worked as a freelance scenic artist producing projects for theatre and TV.  Her own work centres upon the landscape around her home on the Cotswold border in South Warwickshire and focuses on the birds and wildlife that visit the area as well as local walks and sites of interest.  She uses a combination of mono printing onto a gelatine plate and acrylic painting to create a depth of ground in many of her hedgerow works, she also creates graphites drawings and paintings of the wider landscape.
