Biography
Lorna is a mult-disciplinary artist working across printmaking and jewellery. She attended the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester for four years in the 1990’s studying fine jewellery design and making, it is however in the last six years that she has returned to a creative way of life.
Lorna was introduced to printmaking at Leamington College and after a short course there continued to develop her methods at home. Lorna has been exhibiting her print work for six years through Warwickshire Open Studios, Art in the Park and various Printmaking exhibitions. This return to creativity has led Lorna slowly back to jewellery making, first through recycling cake and biscuit tins into fun easy to wear jewellery then onto silver jewellery impressed with plants to create textures or to show the wonderful texture and details of leaves. Both printmaking and jewellery continue to develop as different methods are explored.
Lorna now lives in Leamington Spa and works from her garden studio.
