Biography
Kathleen Conway has facial palsy which has influenced her life in many positive ways but also understands the difficulties people face , excuse the pun , when things change overnight and the struggles that come with a facial difference or any difference which stretches the human consciousness .
After studying Art ,Textiles , Design & Tech & photography at Richmond college she opened her own textile business on Eel pie island called Indigo screen print .
Soon she was sharing her workshop space with an another artist and during a visit from Kathleen’s brother her artist friend was conversing about all her problems and Kathleen was listening with compassion which is when her brother told her to look at a career path change to work with people . Kathleen went on to be an acupuncturist after working in the caring profession and so she studied very hard to pursue this other passion which was helping others heal .
She now has the ability to combine her two passions through the art community and collaborate with other artists and healing practices after 30 years she now feels completely whole again living the best life with art and acupuncture.
