John Simpson is a fine artist based in the West Midlands, UK. He began his artist career in the creative field by training as a graphic designer at St Martin’s School of Art in London. After honing his skills, John founded his own successful design and print business, where he achieved the professional goals he had set for himself.

In 2000, feeling an urge for new challenges, John transitioned to fine art, establishing himself in this new arena with remarkable success. His work has since been exhibited and sold nationally, earning him recognition for his innovative approach and unique artistic voice.

John draws inspiration from the intricate challenges posed by the natural world. He is committed to infusing honesty and originality into his creations, exploring a diverse range of media. His artistic repertoire includes unconventional materials such as Polyfilla, powder paint, ash, oil on melamine ­-and oil on glass for his paintings, as well as recycled cardboard and papier mâché for his three-dimensional sculptural works. This eclectic mix demonstrates his dedication to creativity and sustainability.
