Biography

See Me Hold Touch and Feel Me Smudge Bowls

Used to hold and catch ash when burning sacred herbs-like Sage and Cedar-during a smudging ritual for spiritual cleansing, energy clearing or creating a sacred space. Hand built with my own specially interior mixed glaze.

I am a professional potter ceramic practitioner designer and maker based near Barby village. I try to show commitment to my work by not replicating any piece so the owner can be confident that the work is unique.

By using the initial techniques of slabbing and coiling in clay the following impressed marks made on my work are created from found forms and objects from the seascape and landscape. Green ware is sometimes burnished. All work is internally glazed.

Clay is a limitless wonderful medium which gives me a visual voice, thus enabling me to have a creative canvas for my personal expressions and feelings. I try to visualise moments of emotions & communicate this expression non-verbally in clay.
