Biography

David, dubbed “The Rural Surrealist” by Country Life Magazine in a feature article, studied and learnt the classical, fine art method of painting in a 3 year foundation course at the renowned Lavender Hill Studios in London. Encouraged to paint full time, he moved to the Cotswolds. Keeping true to those same principles and understanding of light, his subject matter quickly evolved. Inspired entirely by the beauty and drama of nature, he creates narrative that often revolve around his unique motifs which carry an undercurrent of surrealism. David has gallery representation in both the United States and Great Britain.
