Biography

Claire has had a varied career as a professional artist and illustrator. After studying graphic design at college in London, she began work as a designer for a textile company in Leamington Spa. Realising the appeal of a freelance life, Claire began designing in a variety of fields such as stationery, giftware and toy manufacture before becoming a book illustrator and writer. Her work is currently licensed by many print companies as well as being available on home furnishing products and on greetings cards.

In 2010 she began her move into the field of fine art by producing a series of paintings inspired by her love of the landscape and coastal areas of Britain. She enjoys experimenting with collage to create a variety of textures, and uses acrylic paints for their versatility and depth of colour. She paints in her Stratford studio, but travels frequently for inspiration.
