Biography

Jo Docking is the silversmith behind Black Cat Silver, creating handmade jewellery inspired by nature, coastlines, woodlands and the changing seasons.

Working from a small studio in Rugby, she uses traditional silversmithing techniques and recycled sterling silver to create unique pieces that celebrate texture, movement and the beauty of the natural world. Having spent much of her life between the Midlands and the South West coast, Jo draws inspiration from both landscapes and the memories they hold.

Alongside her jewellery practice, Jo works as a mental health nurse. Silversmithing provides a creative balance, allowing her to slow down, connect with nature and create meaningful pieces designed to be treasured for years to come.
