Sarah Leigh – Illuminated Urchin light

Create a beautiful illuminated lamp that takes inspiration from marine forms and surface pattern. Using fine merino wool and a variety of feature fibres, pre-felt, threads and even handmade paper, you’ll create a spherical form that will be illuminated from within by either a plug in or rechargeable LED light (you can select on the day). The warm white light will reveal the variety of tones created by the inclusion of these fibres.

This is a perfect opportunity to reflect your love of the natural world while creating a beautiful addition to your home.

Some prior wet-felting experience is useful, though not essential. All materials are provided, alongside delicious refreshments to keep you fuelled while you work.

This workshop will be taught with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 participants.
