Still Life Drawing in Charcoal

An Introduction to Still-Life Drawing in Charcoal

This full day workshop is designed for complete beginners but also caters for those with some drawing experience who wish to develop their skills further. Charcoal is a very versatile medium that can be used in a variety of ways. You will learn how to group objects together and use light to create an interesting composition for your drawing. In the morning you will develop an accurate line drawing of your objects, the crucial foundation of a successful piece. In the afternoon you will explore tonal value and different mark-making techniques to add depth and texture to your drawing. Donna will be on hand to support you throughout the day and the techniques that you learn during the workshop will equip you to create your own drawings at home.
