Biography
I am a printmaker based in Warwick. I make hand-printed etchings of landscapes and nature, capturing scenes and moments, or sometimes creatures that have inspired me, from local haunts to further afield. Most of my prints are from copperplate, using line, aquatint and colour, but more recently I have been experimenting with tetrapak drypoint printing.
My style is quite bold, often using strong lines and printing textures in a range of colours to suit the feel of the image or the season. I love being outdoors, especially in wild or remote places and try to capture some of that feeling in my images. With hand-printing no two prints are identical, which increases the challenge and the sense of satisfaction in making them.
I exhibited 2 works at Leamington Open in 2019, and another two in the Coventry Open the same year.
