I am inspired by nature and the incredible variety of natural forms waiting to be discovered in my garden and local countryside.
I work with willow and many other natural materials, often foraged, gathered, or found. My collections are of sticks, stones, bark, and all manner of pieces of things that may wind up in a piece of work eventually.
Working methods include traditional and contemporary basketry techniques, various construction methods and assemblage, wrapping, binding, knotting … creating work that seeks to celebrate nature.
My work is sculptural, decorative, sometimes functional, and may be for inside or out.

Member of the Basketmakers’ Association.

We will be working on and off during our opening hours, so informal demonstrations will be varied and ongoing in Jane’s truly gorgeous garden!
