Biography

Mary is a handwoven textile designer. Her scarves and shawls are one-off accessories. They are woven using silk, wool and cashmere in a vibrant colour palette to give a lustrous and iridescent finish. A new project begun in lockdown are one-off linen tea towels 

Mary uses different weaving techniques, and concentrates on colour and texture. Her yarns are mainly sourced from suppliers who buy ends of lines from mills.   

Mary will be demonstrating on one of her looms in Leamington for Warwickshire open studios.
