I’m inspired by nature and the incredible variety of natural forms waiting to be discovered in my garden and surrounding countryside.
I work with willow and many other natural materials often foraged, gathered or found. My collections are of sticks, stones, bones, bark, and all manner of interesting bits and pieces of things - bits that often wind up in a piece of work at some point.
My working methods include traditional and contemporary basketry techniques, various construction methods and assemblage, wrapping, binding, knotting... I create work that seeks to celebrate nature, and explore our relationships with her.
I make sculptural pieces, also decorative and functional work for indoors and out.

I am a member of The Basketmakers’ Association.
