My work is about energy and freedom. I paint and make collage of bird showing the abundance of nature using rich colours and textures.
Discarded fence panels, old sketches and scribbles all provide a base. Paintings, Prints, Necklaces. My work is a mixture of imagination,memory, and feeling, a sort of minestrone where all these elements come together.
I trained in textile design at Central St Martins and that is where my love of colour, pattern and texture was formed. I also worked with Edward Bawden.
Now I focus on producing bird collage and paintings, and these have led to a new series of ltd edition prints.
I love it when a painting comes together and other people like it, it is confirmation that I can, through my art, resonate with other people.
Featured artist with RSPB and I have had a recent exhibition at Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
Member of Leamington Studio Artists, my work can be seen in their gallery in Satchwell Court, Leamington Spa.
