Fiona is a mixed media artist living and working in Leamington Spa. Working with surface textile design, print making, painting and collage. Her inspiration comes from birds, the patterns and designs found in nature, in her garden and the wider ‘borrowed’ landscapes. She loves working with colour and building layers and textures, experimenting with different printing techniques and drawing with thread. Much of her work is translated into little print and textile books, hand made cards, small painting and textile hangings.
A member of Leamington Studio Artists, the art collective Future Rabbits and Fabricate. She is a regular exhibitor at Open Studios and runs a variety of textile workshops. Recently she was commissioned to create a series for the radiology dept at UHCW, won the Pump Room Gallery competition for the Xmas tree installation; was selected for the Royal Birmingham Society of Artist Open in 2020, the Rugby Open in 2022 and 23, the inaugural Fold exhibition 2023.
