3 Blue Stars started life as a travelling little gallery of 7 independent artists ran by Louise Whiteley, who attended shopping events across the Midlands. As the world changed in 2020, events were cancelled & lots of the artists moved online. Louise (Tilly's Cottages) & Lucy Collins (paintings & prints) are the main two artists remaining, with guest appearances from new makers popping up every now and again. Tilly's Cottages are little handmade wooden cottages and scenes, which often incorporate vintage items like spirit levels, old thermometers & butter pats, all of which may otherwise have ended up in landfill. Lucy's paintings are full of joy and happiness, often depicting her love of the seaside and dogs - all her colourful images tell such a wonderful story and are often busy with flowers, bees and pesky seagulls!
